serotonic drugs are very very addictive.excercise is addictive too .serotonics do not give you a high ,they are suppose to give remission .excersise especially jogging will give you a high ,the choice is yours!

  4. Finders121 says:

Depression is not helped if you do excercise when linked with panic disorder.

  6. friendhope says:

I am not sure whether i agree totally on just exersise i think that you've got to have some sort of family or support network going for you to improve the depression otherwise it seems to get worse

  7. gettmac says:

I have been depressed most of my life. I have also exercised regulary most of my life. Maybe I would be more depressed if I didn't exercise but exercise in and of itself has never "cured" my depression.

I was depressed for 5 years, I had gone pretty well emo, I didn't have really any friends, I has no confidence, etc. then I began workin out, I did this for a good 4 months straight, I was in excellent condition, I had everything going good for me,

  9. Kragorin says:

Well, I think this could work, I mean exercises, but if It's done with someone who is an inportant person to the patient. The only think that patient needs is not the exercise self, but someone who is important to them. The main objective must be "To be not alone". That's my opinion.

I think that excercise can prevent depression but not cure it if it's a real depression.. you know?

Even though medical experts may identify symptoms and suggest 'cures' for 'bipolar disorder', they definitely do not have all of the answers. It is good that they want to help, but they really need to try to understand the reasons to why people feel this way. This means to analyse the person's history and the person's stance on life. A lot of the time,
'depressed' people understand many concepts in the world that are beneath the surface.

    lol

I totally agree with you. The reality is that because of our materialistic culture, we are polluting the world also. If we cared more about humanity and our environment, we would realize this. It's all in our heads. Realistically, it is not possible for every single person to be 'rich'. We must try to see everyone as equals. No-one chooses to be born as they are or into a certain area. Being souls, we must understand this.

I believe this. but I even taking medicine I have no energy. I am always tired, and in turn I gained weight. — Don't we all know what our problem is, just can't get passed it. Maybe they should come back with Shock therapy. I need a good jazp in the ass to get me moving. — where can I sign up for the trail.

  16. QueenBee171 says:

well its cos of a mix of factors, but exercise always helps. all those endorphins! and i guess it keeps you busy as well.

  17. ammoniaa says:

I think this man on the video never suffered from depression.

  18. novice8814 says:

If you have a chronic lower back injury that makes every exercize hurt. If you have arthritis and leg damage from an accident. Exercize? Run, jog, walk briskly for 30 min. It depresses me that I can't without debilitating pain that lingers for weeks.

  19. JapSlapFever says:

Depending on your cause and severity of depression, excercise is not a cure-all. I've suffered from depression all my life. And in my younger years, I was a bit obsessive about my looks and excercised all the time. Didn't help…

  20. shadyjimbo says:

forget antidepressants. i was on paxil for a while and it never helped much. exercising regularly will eventually get you where you want to be

Cycling,walking..basically any physical excercise. And a good diet with omega3 can really help fight off depression.

alcohol and other drugs can make a person depressed..i believe all anti-depressants are a waste of time AND money.

    good video.

  23. J4JB says:

Do yoga and tai chi but make sure you tell the teacher about your injury and take it very easy in class with the yoga you wont have to worry about an injury from tai chi. You will probably find the yoga will help your back It helped mine and a friend of mine with our back problems.

  24. J4JB says:

Its so true. Also I have just moved from the town into the country. I am surrounded by trees and nature. It's made me realise the real cost of "progress" it is worth so much more than a 42 inch plasma and all the other gizmos we are ruining our enviornment and spending our time to get. A new car every year a new phone every year designer clothes it is all B.S we don't need it and it only makes you happy for about 5 minutes.

  25. forestskog says:

That was so true for me. I mean it was AMAZING how excercise for ME anyway absolutely no questions seriously made me feel so so much better. That and SOME self help stuff (like Tony Robbins very practical excercises fro generating good emotions, see also NLP).
